Welcome hair lovers!

I am Dominique, lover of all things HAIR. After years of contemplating and nudges from family and friends, I have finally decided to share my experiences, tips, knowledge and (soon to be professional *Does Milly Rock*) opinion on one of my favorite topics – Hair!

It took a while for me to get the courage to start this blog because I always thought I didn’t posses the qualifications to give people advice or provide an opinion on hair care since I was not a licensed cosmetologist. But a friend of mine said to me “ you have been doing hair for so long, your experiences are enough”. Her encouragement made it even clearer that I could do this and do it well. Thanks LaTonya girl!

Since the age of thirteen, I’ve had my hands in hair and loved it. I styled hair for friends, family and myself. I was my own Guinea pig. The thought of people trusting me with tone of their most prized possessions at such a young age is mind blowing and I remain grateful of that trust.

So…. What can you expect from Blooming Mane (That’s the name of the blog, I didn’t mention that before. Don’t come for me. You clicked on it.) you ask? Well, my goal is to provide you with quality and factual content filtered through me. Whether it’s my natural remedies, product reviews, style recommendations or sharing my hair regime. Hopefully I’ll be able to answer questions on your hair struggles and you’ll be able to learn from mine. Yeah, your girl has her own battles with her mane too. No one can escape it! If it has to do with hair, I’ll probably touch on it. I welcome any suggestions you have on topics you would like me to research and discuss. I hope I can provide some solutions to your hair woes and inspiration to try new things with your mane!
